Martes Bathori(マルテス・バトリ)1966年パリ生まれ。1980年代後半より彫刻家、製図技師、コミック作家として活動。90年代、Natalie leteとのアートユニット「Mathias & Natalie」として活躍。廃棄されたダンボール材や木材を使った独創的な立体作品を発表。2000年代、ペインティングによる都市風景やセラミックによる彫刻作品も手がける。

Martes Bathori was born in Paris in 1966 and has been active as a sculptor, draftsman, and comic book artist since the late 1980s. In the 90s, he was part of the art unit "Mathias & Natalie" with Natalie Lete, presenting original three-dimensional works using discarded cardboard and wood. In the 2000s, he also created urban landscape paintings and ceramic sculptures.

"UTOPIA FOREVER" is an art book that depicts New York as Bathori feels it.
